Mark E. Denari
A system engineering and integration (SE&I) professional and solution architect, Mark Denari develops, engineers and implements advanced technology systems/solutions for critical infrastructure facilities and environments, with special emphasis on airports.
With over 35 years of aviation and airport experience, his expertise includes systems for command and control (C2)/event management, physical security, building and energy management, telecommunications, wireless applications, and airport and network technical infrastructure. Dedicated and passionate about the use of advanced technology, he has developed and implemented advanced technologies (AT) for airports, including systems for – integrated C2 for airport/situation management, checked baggage inspection (CBIS), digital video surveillance and management (DVMS), access control (AC), perimeter intrusion detection (PIDS), and physical security information management (PSIM).
A recognized thought leader in SE&I and solution architecture, he developed and implemented the nation’s first C2/Event Management System (EvMS) in 2014 for the Denver International Airport DIA). A highly effective, reliable and totally integrated AT system, this $4.5M project provides DIA with exceptional “situational awareness and management” capabilities while providing integrated data and systems to assess, analyze, initiate action and manage various unforeseen events across the airport’s operational environment.
Commissioned through the Navy’s NROTC College Scholarship Program, he holds a B.S. in Architecture from the University of New Mexico and a M.S. in Architecture from the University of California, Berkeley. He is a retired airport operation’s executive, Navy Captain and Naval Aviator.
